Privacy

Short version: no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies. Most tools run entirely in your browser.

Tools that run in your browser

Pages marked Runs in your browser process everything on your device. That includes the encoders, JSON formatter, JWT inspector, WBXML decoder, color and time converters, games, and lab experiments. Text you paste, files you drop, secrets you type, photos, and microphone audio are never uploaded to yepher.com.

Tools that contact other services

  • DNS Lookup sends the name you look up from your browser to the DNS-over-HTTPS resolver you pick (Cloudflare or Google). If your network blocks those resolvers, or you pick the yepher.com server, the name is looked up by this server instead.
  • PA-28 Takeoff Performance sends the airport identifier you enter to yepher.com, which fetches the METAR from aviationweather.gov.
  • Shadow Finder loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap, Esri and OpenTopoMap. Your photos stay on your device.
  • Encode & Hash shows a Gravatar image when the input looks like an email address, which sends the address's MD5 hash to gravatar.com.

What the server sees

Like any website, the server receives your IP address, browser user agent and the page you requested. The web server keeps standard access logs for security and troubleshooting and rotates them. What's My IP shows you exactly what the server received, and doesn't store it.

Storage on your device

A few pages remember preferences in your browser's local storage, such as your color theme, a chosen time zone, or a puzzle high score. This data never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time.

Apps and integrations

Some apps and integrations by the same author use endpoints on this domain. They receive only the data needed to do their job, don't sell or share it, and don't use it for advertising.
