Refresher

  • A radial is a line of magnetic bearing extending outward from the VOR station.
  • VOR ground stations transmit line-of-sight in the VHF band, 108.0–117.95 MHz.
  • At 1,000 ft AGL reception range is about 40–45 miles, and it grows with altitude.
